Box Search

A box search requires at least one of the pieces of information listed below. Additional information about any of the search criteria can be found by clicking on that term or by reading the Search Help page.

Ship Name - Name of the ship that recovered the core (e.g., Eltanin, Palmer)

Project - project name (e.g. ANDRILL, SHALDRIL, Deep Freeze)

Site - Site specification (e.g. IO1176-80, E15-164)

Hole - If applicable: when more than one core was taken at the site (e.g. NBP0602-12A2, SS012PU)

Run Number - If applicable (ANDRILL): refers to a length of core before it is cut into sections

Core Type - Type of device used to recover the core or sample (e.g., PC, TC, GC)

Top - Depth in core to top of sample (usually in cm, all drill cores are in meters)

Bottom - Depth in core to bottom of sample (usually in cm, all drill cores are in meters)

Box Number - if applicable (ANDRILL): refers to the box the core section is stored in
