Equipment

• The AMGRF web server has recently been updated with an added 1.2 terabytes of data space to accommodate digital images and data uploads. The server is designed to be upgraded in the future as the need arises.
• Quantachrome Multipychnometer was purchased and will be available for use in the fourth quarter 2006
• Non Contacting Resistivity Sensor for the MSCL was installed in 2005 and is being used routinely during core scanning.
• Geotek MSCL was upgraded in 2005. A new digital camera, computer, and software were added.
• New high-end HP color laserJet printer 4650dn was added to the AMGRF's network system in 2005.
• The RIGAKU miniflex XRD has been serviced and repaired and is now operative and available for use. A new chiller was purchased and installed in 2005, along with an upgrade of the JADE software (v. 7.5), search/match software, and the PDF4 minerals database.
• A new shipping container was ordered and delivered in 2005. It is being used for transport of AMGRF's equipment to the Nathaniel B. Palmer for SHALDRIL operations.
