Ciros Project

CIROS PROJECT: Cenozoic Investigations of the Ross Sea . (1986) Ciros-1 is one of several holes drilled in the Southwest corner of the Ross Sea to investigate the Cenozoic glacial and tectonic history of the region. It was a joint venture between Victoria University of Wellington who coordinated the project, the geophysics division DSIR who supervised the drilling, and the Antarctic Division DSIR who provided the logistical support.
