Sample Search (Text)

A sample search requires at least one of the pieces of information listed below. Additional information about any of the search criteria can be found by clicking on that term or by reading the Search Help page.

Ship Name - Name of the ship that recovered the core (e.g., Eltanin, Palmer)

Cruise Name - ID representing a unique cruise (e.g., ELT47, PD92-II, NBP93-08)

Core Identification Number - ID number given to each core (e.g., 01, 12, 33A)

Core Type - Type of device used to recover the core or sample (e.g., PC, TC, GC)

Top - Depth in core to top of sample (usually in cm, all drill cores are in meters)

Bottom - Depth in core to bottom of sample (usually in cm, all drill cores are in meters)

Volume - volume of the sample (usually in cubic centimeters)

Investigator Name - Name of the investigator who has taken the sample

Institution Name - Investigator's institution at time of sampling

Date Range - Date the sample was taken
